| BUYAS AND PICKLES |
Tanzania is world-famous for 'Buyas'. It
is the fruit of the baobab tree common in Tanzania. For years,
the food has been processed in sugar and salt to create a
favourite snack for all ages. Another famous and distinct fruit
native to Tanzania is 'Mabungo'. It is a sour typical Tropical
fruit. The asian population of Tanzania have applied their
gifted pickle making skills to culminate this otherwise sour
fruit into a mouth watering pickle called 'Mabungo achar'. It is
a delicacy and you will not find anywhere else in the world. |
